Careium is seeking a skilled and motivated Product Support Engineer to join our Technical team. If you have experience in Telecare or IP-based systems and want to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives, this is your opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be a key technical contact for device support, troubleshooting, and system updates. Your day-to-day will include:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supporting IP/Telecare devices for Careium teams and customers
- Managing and resolving Zendesk support cases
- Collaborating with Product and Development teams on updates
- Diagnosing and correcting configuration issues related to monitoring platforms
- Occasional onsite visits across the UK
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Handling fault reports via phone and email
- Programming telecare units for stock and customers
- Supporting engineers and subcontractors
- Delivering training to installation teams and customers
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven background in the Telecare/TEC industry
- Education to GCSE Grade A–C/NVQ Level 2/3 or ONC in a relevant field
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Solid understanding of Windows and telecoms processes
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with IP/Telecoms and monitoring platforms (UMO, PNC, Jontek)
- Knowledge of IP networking, routers, switches, and telecare protocols
- Formal IP/Telecoms qualification
